In close cooperation with the main shareholder of this startup: NavInfo Europe, you identify, assess, and develop strategic customer partnerships. Customers looking to optimize and automate the mobility of humans, vehicles, and delivery packages within both indoor and outdoor environments.

NavInfo is a China-based technology company who is leading the way to become the “Digital Brain of Intelligent Driving” with core businesses in HAD mapping, high accuracy positioning and automotive-grade semiconductors for ADAS, autonomous driving, and automated guided vehicles (AGV).

The Business Development team of this startup company is tasked with developing, implementing and optimizing the growth strategy through partnerships to drive customer acquisition and revenue for services and new business initiatives.

As a core member of the Business Development team you will be shaping the future of the company and working directly with executives and senior leaders on business deals that drive growth and innovation.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Identify, assess and develop strategic partnerships with companies across markets where there is a significant demand for automating and optimizing the mobility of devices, like AGV (automated guided vehicles), agriculture, smart cities, logistics, industrial robots.
• Leverage his/her significant network in the markets of interest including knowledge institutes, as well as a natural passion for emerging technologies in the context of highly autonomous mobility, to source business development opportunities.
• Develop and implement a strategic approach for assessing and prioritizing business development opportunities.
• Work closely with a variety of cross-functional, cross-geographical, and cross-cultural teams through all aspects of opportunity development, including: idea generation, sourcing partner targets, the business case and new product requirements, financial modeling, negotiation, and integration activities.
• Work closely with the leadership teams in proactively identifying and pursuing innovative new services and product offerings that will support and enhance the company’ position in the marketplace.
• Engage and lead negotiations with prospects at senior levels and guiding executives on both


What we expect

Requirements

• 5+ years of business development experience in a complex high-tech business across multiple locations.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Able to represent the customer. Understand how they think, what they want and why.
• Creative about ways to get the job done efficiently.
• Structured and result-oriented. Hard worker, highly motivated to learn, execute, deliver and be accountable for results.
• Follow up regularly and maintain momentum with counterparties. Equip yourself with all required documents, tools, and methods to move the audience.
• Self-aware. Enjoy constructive feedback, and proactively identify opportunities for self-improvement.
• Technically Proficient. Motivated to learn more about company technology and products at more than a surface level. Never gives the answer “you’ll need to talk to the technical team for that” more than once for a topic. Becomes a technical expert on any relevant area needed, and able to proficiently describe technical concepts to external parties.
• Excellent written, presentation, and project management skills.
• Highly proficient in Dutch and English - written and spoken.
• Willingness and ability to travel as role requires (20-40%).

Preferred Qualifications
• Existing network within markets where AGVs and robotics are used to optimize the workflow, such as logistics, agriculture, public transport, smart cities.
• Ability to communicate in German and/or French
