You will join our multi-cultural team of NavInfo Europe.


Work Description

Within NavInfo Europe you will be responsible, reporting to PMO Director, facilitating the different R&D groups & the Navinfo Europe Business Units. You will together with the QA team.
You understand the language developers are using, are proficient analyzing and describing software solutions. You grasp the essence of specific issues and are proficient in explaining how to solve issues step by step. You know how to communicate these insights to others through technical documentation.

Core Tasks

• Writing documentation for end users that want to operate the software. Ensuring that there is clarity, uniformity and structure.
• Researching, developing, releasing and updating technical documentation as required. Where required, arrange for documents to be translated
• Review comments on existing procedures and assign for review by engineers where necessary.
• Support project managers by creating relevant project documentation
• Assist in document control and management
• Prepare complex technical procedures clearly and accurately in simple English with a methodical approach;
• Write release notes for all products in conjunction with the researchers and developers


What we expect

Competencies

• Our ideal candidate has 5+ years technical writing experience in a complex high-tech business across multiple locations, in the high-tech sector, ideally with a navigation device supplier, a map supplier, a route planning company, or telematics service supplier.
• Technically Proficient. Good understanding of software development. Qualifications or relevant experience will be highly regarded.
• Experience with writing technical documentation: a blog or contribute in a github project with examples is also highly regarded.
• Experience with translating technology to clear communication
• Completed relevant University Degree;
• Excellent communications and problem-solving skills.
• Proven excellent fluent communication skills in English, both written and verbal;
• Pragmatic, initiative, pro-active;
• Good communication skills, team player, but also independent;
• Service orientated and flexible attitude.
